Provincial parks open this weekend

Friday will kick off the holiday weekend, and it’s the day most Nova Scotia provincial parks open for the season.

All but three provincial day-use and many camping parks will officially open tomorrow.

Provincial parks at Dollar Lake, Uisge Bàn Falls near Baddeck, and the North River Wilderness Area hiking trail in Victoria County will remain closed until further notice.

But despite winter damage Blomidon Provincial Park in Kings County and Thomas Raddall Provincial Park in Queens County will be open as of tomorrow.

If you want to brush up your camping skills, the government’s Learn 2 Camp program will be held in Yarmouth County the weekend of July 18th.
