Child pornography charge laid against Halifax doctor

Halifax police have laid a child pornography charge against a Halifax psychiatrist.
Police allege 82-year-old Dr. Curtis Arlo Steele took naked pictures of a 14-year-old patient under his care in 2004.
Steele was arrested yesterday after an investigation started in January 2014, and is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court on June 16 to answer to one charge of making child pornography.
He was released on conditions that he not communicate with the victim of children under the age of 16, and that he not be within 50 metres of a place known to be frequented by children.
