Human trafficking charges laid in Halifax

HALIFAX – A man and a teen boy face prostitution and human trafficking charges in Halifax.

In early March, Halifax Regional Police and RCMP launched an investigation into the alleged procuring of a 17-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old woman for prostitution.

Police say they conducted searches of two Halifax homes on Thursday where they arrested the suspects and seized evidence.

A 16-year-old boy and 25-year-old Richard Hover Cooper face prostitution, human trafficking and child pornography charges.
