TSB finishes Air Canada crash site examination

The wreck of an Air Canada plane that crashed at Halifax Stanfield International Airport could be removed this week.

The Transportation Safety Board says it has finished its examination of the site.

And now, a second law firm says it will file a class-action lawsuit over the crash.

The firm Wagners says in a statement today that it will file the claim on behalf of an unspecified number of people on board, after another Halifax legal group said it would file a similar suit.

Wagners says the accident uncovers safety hazards it hopes will be addressed as a result of the legal action.

The Airbus was flying from Toronto when it touched down 335 metres short of the runway and skidded on its belly before coming to a stop.
