Halifax Airport sees record 3.6M passengers in 2014

Halifax Stanfield International Airport enjoyed its busiest year ever in 2014, serving more than 3-point-6 million passengers.
In a release, the Airport Authority says overall passenger numbers were up about 2 per cent over 2013.
Airport CEO Joyce Carter says new and expanded airline routes, particularly domestic ones, are to thank for the record numbers.
She says with new routes already announced for next year, she expects growth to continue in 2015.
