Flight makes emergency medical diversion to Halifax airport

An airplane en route to Paris from Peru has made an emergency landing at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

Airport spokesperson Ashley Gallant told News 95.7 the airport got word just before 8:00 a.m. Air France flight 483 would be diverting for a medical emergency.

Gallant said a female passenger has been taken to hospital.

“I don’t have any further information about the medical emergency, but I do know that she was conscious when they took her to hospital,” said Gallant.

Gallant said it’s up to Air France how long the Boeing 777 stays in Halifax, but the flight is likely to refuel and continue on its way.
