Suspects charged in Catie Miller homicide to remain in custody

The three people facing charges in the Catie Miller case will remain in custody until their next court appearance in February.

Kelly Amanda MacDonald, 33, of Lawrencetown and 30-year-old George Edward Hubley of Sheet Harbour Passage were arrested Wednesday.

MacDonald’s lawyer said she is a single mother of an 8-month-old daughter with no criminal history, she is facing charges of first-degree murder.

Records show MacDonald is one of the owners of a Lawrencetown property being searched by police.

Hubley has been charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact .

Police believe neither knew Miller, but both knew 29-year-old Jason James Johnson, who appeared in court earlier this week on charges of first-degree murder.

All three have also been charged with indecently interfering with a dead human body.
