Catie Miller disappearance ruled homicide, charges laid

Halifax Police say charges have been laid in relation to the disappearance of 29-year-old Catherine ‘Catie’ Miller, who was last in contact with her family on July 15th.

Police say they arrested 29-year-old Jason James Johnson at an address on Charlotte Lane in Halifax on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 9:45 p.m.

Johnson is due in court on Monday to face charges of first degree murder and indecently interfering with a human body.

Catie Miller’s remains have yet to be found.

Police say the investigation continues, and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
