Small drop in gas prices expected

Another small drop in the price of gasoline is on the horizon for Nova Scotians.

Our newsroom has crunched the numbers, and we are predicting that when prices are adjusted at midnight tonight they will fall by about a penny a litre.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices told News 95.7 there is a lot of inventory on the market and that the decline would have been larger, if not for the weakness in the Canadian dollar.

Across the border in New Brunswick, regulated prices fell at midnight by 2.5 cents, moving the maximum price per litre down to 118.9.
