Police investigating suspicious weekend fires in north Dartmouth

Halifax Regional Police are investigating three suspicious fires set over the weekend in North Dartmouth.

The first call came in on Saturday at 9:40 p.m. after a report that someone had thrown a Molotov cocktail device at a house in the 0-100 block of Farrell St.

According to police, the small fire was put out by the people living inside the residence.

While investigating the initial incident, police found a second fire, started in the same manner, burning in a nearby empty lot.

The third incident was reported to police at about 9:55 last night when a suspicious fire was spotted in a shed in the 0-100 block of Primrose St.

Firefighters managed to put the flames out quickly, but the shed was damaged.

No arrests have been made in any case, and no injuries were reported.

Halifax Police are still investigating all three incidents.
