Acadia Park hockey rink lumber stolen

The group behind Acadia Park off Sackville Drive says someone has stolen some important pieces of lumber.

The wood is worth about $600 and is needed to build a winter rink at the park annually.

A spokesperson for the group says the lumber was stolen on the night of September 29th from behind a shed at around 9 p.m.

A security camera photo of the van involved in the theft is circulating on social media.

The group says this isn’t the first time the park has met with foul play, they say their fountain has been vandalized three times.

Payzant Home Hardware says it will donate the missing materials needed to construct the rink this winter.
