Power outage in Dartmouth as truck hits power pole

The power is out to almost 2,000 customers in Dartmouth after a pickup truck hit a power pole near 260 Windmill Road just after 8 a.m. today.

Halifax Regional Police spokesperson Cst. Pierre Bourdages told News 95.7 the man driving the vehicle wasn’t injured, however the power pole was severely damaged.

Nova Scotia Power crews are on their way to the scene.

Traffic on Windmill Road is being diverted in the Albro Lake Road and Howe Street area.
