Single-vehicle crash in Pictou County kills two people

CARIBOU, N.S. – A single-vehicle crash in northern mainland Nova Scotia has left two people dead.

The RCMP say the collision happened on Central Caribou Road in Pictou County on Sunday around 9:30 a.m.

They say a vehicle carrying three people left the road and collided with a detached trailer parked nearby.

Two men, both from Pictou County, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman was taken to hospital and is expected to recover.

The Mounties say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
