Break-in wakes Dartmouth couple

HALIFAX – Regional Police are investigating a break-in at a home on Ancona Place in Dartmouth, N.S.

Police say a man, 48, and a woman, 40, heard a loud bang at their front door around 1:30 a.m. Friday, and woke up to find two masked men in their home — one of whom was carrying a gun.

The man yelled at the intruders to get out, and the two ran away. They were last seen running down the street.

Nothing was taken from the home, and no one was hurt in the incident.

Police say the two prowlers are in their late teens or early 20s, and were wearing dark hoodies and masks at the time.

They say it’s not believed to be a random incident.
