Slight increase at the pump expected at midnight

Things will remain relatively unchanged when gasoline prices are reset at midnight.

Our newsroom has crunched the numbers and we are expecting regulated prices will climb in Nova Scotia, but only by less than an penny.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices told News 95.7 fears of big jumps in oil prices after U.S. airstrikes in Iraq did not come to fruition.

“There’s no threat to any supplies in oil, so there hasn’t been a heavy play with oil prices,” said Murphy.

In New Brunswick, regulated prices are up by a full penny this morning to a new maximum price of $1.33.
