A 54-year-old man is in hospital this morning after being assaulted on the Halifax Waterfront overnight.
Just before 2:30a.m., the man was walking along the boardwalk in the area of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, when he was jumped by a group of four.
The man sustained serious facial injuries in the attack, but they are not considered to be life-threatening.
A short time later, police took all four suspects, all in their 20s, into custody.
Charges are expected to be laid later today.
