A Nova Scotia middle school teacher is accused of sex crimes against kids.
The accused was, until last fall, a grade six teacher at Thorburn Consolidated School in Thorburn, a small town in Pictou County.
RCMP say they’ve been investigating a complaint from the school for the past 11 weeks.
Carolyn Amy Hood, 37, was arrested Friday at her home in Stellarton.
She’s charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and two counts each of sexual exploitation of a young person and luring minors over the internet for a sexual purpose.
Amy Hood has been released on conditions until a March 17 court date.
Police say they’re still investigating.
