A couple of HRM sisters are making it their mission to protect kids from pornography.
Amanada Hatt said the pair is calling on the federal government to ban porn from being accessed from Canadian homes.
“We’re proposing the Canadian government force all internet providers to have porn blocked as a default,” said Hatt, “Any adult within the home can request to have the material unblocked by simply calling their internet service provider to do so.”
She added they were moved to start a petition after seeing more and more research showing the negative impacts of porn.
The sister’s proposal is being modelled after a program that’s expected to be rolled out in the UK in the new year.
