The recent trend of lower gas prices has come to an end.
Regular self-serve is up in Nova Scotia by 3.4 cents a litre, pushing the price in Metro Halifax up to $1.28.8.
The increase means you’ll pay $1.70 more for a 50-litre fill-up this morning.
Diesel prices also rose overnight, with the minimum price up by an even two cents a litre to $1.35.2.
Last year at this time, we were paying $1.30.3 for gasoline, $1.32 for diesel. A barrel of oil was trading at $86.05 U.S., over $14 less than yesterday’s closing price of $100.67.
