Halifax police have a man in custody after an incident with a gun in Fairview Wednesday morning.
Cst. Pierre Bourdages says the initial call came in just before 8:30 a.m. that someone was waving a gun inside a red minivan on Evans Avenue.
“We responded to the area, attempted to locate the vehicle and while we were in the midst of trying to locate the vehicle, at 8:41 we got the second report of a man armed with a gun inside of an apartment building on Dawn Street,” says Bourdages.
Officers caught up with the man and arrested him without incident, seizing a pellet gun at the scene.
The suspect remains in custody pending charges. Two others were questioned, but released. No injuries were reported.
