Chebucto Rd. shooting was drug-related, police say

Police say the Chebucto Road home where a man was shot Monday night was being used for drug trafficking.

A 25-year-old man is still in hospital after he was shot in a townhouse between Dublin and Windsor around 10:30 p.m.

Police say they got a search warrant after the shooting and seized hashish, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia. They say drug activity often involves violence that puts innocent citizens at risk.

Investigators say this shooting was connected to the drug dealing and was not random.

Police are looking for two male suspects who are believed to be involved in this incident.

“The first suspect is described as a white man, stocky, 5’4″, medium length brown hair, large straight nose and small eyes,” reads a police news release. “At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black pea coat, grey hoodie, blue jeans and purple t-shirt.”

The second suspect is described as a black male, 6’2″, slender build, shaved head or close cut. At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark clothing and a bandana covering his face.

Patch job

Stop patching up these criminals so they can get back out on the street selling drugs and assaulting people. Send them a bill for the medical costs….the innocent taxpayers’ of society should not have to foot the bill.

Those criminals are the same as the ones you watch on TV for rum running. Do you happen to drink alcohol? Do you smoke? Drink coffee? The only difference is that one substance has been deemed “illegal” while another is an “intoxicant”. Hypocrites.

If you want less drug crime, then have less crime. Make drugs a legal choice of an adult to do or not do. Help those who become addicted, costs a heck of a lot less than cops, prisons, and policy makers. Look at Portugal for an example that works.
