Police are on the scene of a shooting on Chebucto Road that sent a 25-year-old man to hospital with serious injuries.
Around 10:40 p.m. Monday night police were called to the Chebucto Village Townhouses between Windsor St. and Dublin St.
Staff Sgt. Lindsay Hernden told News 95.7 they believe the shooting happened inside one of the units.
“Upon arrival of our members we located a 25-year-old male who had suffered a gun shot wound,” said Hernden. “The victim was removed from the residence and taken to the QEII emergency room for treatment and at that time his injuries were considered rather serious.”
He said the victim is now out of surgery in stable condition.
“There have been no arrests at this time and we have no suspect information that we can make available at this point,” he added.
Police don’t think it was a random act.

If this turns out to be a Marriot/Melvin thing then i think it’s time for an investigation followed by sting on these yahoos…all of them….press charges and tell our “judges” that slaps on the wrist are NOT acceptable anymore. They tried that and it didn’t work, time to try another approach. Only common sense.
Hope the coppers dinnae strain themselves with….they dont believe ti was a random act…
