Five men charged with internet luring

Police in Halifax have arrested five men who showed up at a hotel after they responded to an internet advertisement set up
by police that promised the sexual services of a 16-year-old.

Police say officers exchanged hundreds of emails with adult men.

The five men arrested include, 25-year-old Mitchell Gary Kays-Rose of Halifax, 29-year-old Alan Tek, 39-year-old Peter Lee White, 43-year-old Donald William Moore of Shubenacadie and 57-year-old Pierre Joseph Simon of Hilden.

They were released on conditions and will appear in Halifax provincial court on April 2.

They face charges of using a computer to communicate with a person believed to be under 18 for the purpose of engaging in
prostitution.
