A judge has acquitted a man in a drug death that prompted a Valley woman’s campaign against prescription drug abuse.
Kyle Fredericks, 23, stood accused of criminal negligence causing the death of Joshua Graves in Kentville.
The Crown tried to prove that Fredericks gave Graves a Dilaudid pill that Graves took with alcohol, before he died.
But the Herald reports today the judge acquitted Fredericks, saying that the Crown did not prove that the pill Graves took came from Fredericks.

This was the correct ruling. There was no way to Crown could prove that the drugs that Josh took definitely came from Kyle. People need to take responsibility for their actions…..if you’re going to mix drugs with alcohol, you’ll pay the price.
