Second paramedic charged with stealing drugs from work

Another Nova Scotia paramedic is accused of stealing drugs from EHS.

Police say they were alerted this month to an ongoing theft and abuse of drugs by a Liverpool paramedic in a case that could date back as far as 2009.

RCMP officers searched a home on Wolfe Street in Liverpool and seized syringes and medical containers.

A 47-year-old man will be in court next month on drug-related charges.

On Friday, Halifax police charged a 25-year-old paramedic with breach of trust and possessing stolen morphine.
