Senior dies after collapsing on rural road

MIDDLE MUSQUODOBOIT, N.S. – Police say an 86-year-old man has died after he was found unconscious at the side of a road in rural Nova Scotia today.

Officers say they responded to a call at 6:49 a.m. about a man who was discovered at the side of Oakhill Drive in Middle Musquodoboit.

RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae says the man, who has not been named, died en route to hospital.

He says the man lives in the area and had an underlying medical condition.

The man was found during a snowstorm but MacRae says it isn’t known if the weather played a role in his death.
