Roses are red, violets are blue, and so are police lights!
There were some unhappy spouses Thursday night after their Valentines out was abruptly interrupted by a police spot check.
RCMP Cpl. John Stoddart told News 95.7, a three-hour spot check near the Bedford exchange from 9 p.m. until midnight led to what he calls a surprisingly large number of roadside tests.
“There were actually 44, in which police issued two seven-day suspensions, one 30-day suspension and they also charged two revoked drivers,” said Stoddart.
There were also motor vehicle inspection violations, six insurance charges, one case of expired registration and a couple of drug seizures.
