A woman says a man who offered to help her sexually assaulted her early Wednesday morning in Halifax.
The 21-year-old tells police she was walking on Agricola St. between West St. and Cunard St. around 2 a.m. when a man standing alone on the sidewalk called out to her saying he would call a taxi for her.
As she walked toward him, she says he grabbed her, pushed her up against the wall of a building and sexually assaulted her.
She broke free and ran away, eventually going home and later to the QE2 hospital where she was treated and released.
Police describe the attacker as a 24-year-old white man, 5’10” with medium-length light brown hair and some scruff on his face. He was wearing jeans and a black jacket.
