A massive blast of winter weather started pounding Nova Scotia Sunday morning and it’s going to continue for the next 24 to 36 hours.
20 to 40 centimeters of snow is expected to fall throughout the region by Monday afternoon.
A low pressure system is pushing into the area and will rapidly intensify Sunday night.
The snow is expected to pick up Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening through central, eastern and northern sections of Nova Scotia.
Things could be worse the further north and east you are in the province, with the addition of freezing rain into the equation.
