N.S. MP recovering after suffering a minor stroke

A Progressive Conservative MP from Nova Scotia is cutting back on his schedule for a few weeks after suffering a minor stroke.

Greg Kerr, who represents the riding of West Nova, says he feels fine but his vision has been reduced, which he hopes is a temporary problem.

In a statement on his website, Kerr says he will be focusing on rehabilitation in the coming weeks and his public availability will be limited.

Kerr cancelled several public events this week following the stroke.

He says his staff will ensure service to his constituents is not disrupted and he will be apprised of all issues.

Kerr was elected in 2008 and was the member of the legislature for Annapolis West from 1978 to 1993.
