A former Nova Scotia Power meter-reader who stole customers’ underwear is serving a sentence of house arrest.
Michael Jordan Wamback, 31, of Shag Harbour worked for Nova Scotia Power for nine years until pleading guilty to attempted break and enter and three charges of theft under $5000.
The Herald reports he was sentenced to 15 months house arrest, and he’ll also have to undergo a sex offender risk assessment.
Wamback was caught after Yarmouth Mounties set up an undercover operation involving some bait panties on a clothesline. Court was told the man took the underwear to his truck, where officers found a stash of other womens’ garments.
