Quebecers face fraud charges in Dartmouth

Two Quebecers will be in a Dartmouth court on fraud charges Monday morning.

Police have arrested a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman after there were attempts to buy high-end cellphones, with fake identification, at Dartmouth Crossing, Sunday.

“As a result of those arrests a quantity of cell phones were recovered as well as numberous sets of identification,” Staff Sgt Reid McCombs told News 95.7.

Police got the complaint at around 3:15 p.m. A man was arrested on Brownlow Avenue and the woman was arrested at a nearby hotel. Police said both the people in custody are from Quebec.

The Integrated Fraud Section continus to investigate if any further charges will be laid.
