A pedestrian was injured today in Halifax after a car slid out of control and struck a woman as she was strolling on the sidewalk.
Police say slippery roads from a steady snowfall played a role in the accident.
Investigators say the 19-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle as it drove on Purcell’s Cove Road.
The incident occurred at about 3:15 p.m.
The woman was taken to hospital with a broken leg.
Police say the incident is still under investigation.
