A collision on Highway 102 closed the road in both directions and created traffic chaos during Friday’s drive home.
Police responded to the MVA involving a tractor trailer and a car at about 4 p.m.
A car ended up underneath the larger vehicle in the inbound lane between the Larry Uteck Boulevard and Hammonds Plains exits.
A 24-year-old man from White’s Lake was airlifted to hospital by EHS Life Flight, where he remains with life-threatening injuries.
As of 5 p.m. police had re-opened the outbound lane, but the inbound lane remained closed until 8 p.m.
