A 47-year-old woman is in the custody of Halifax Regional Police after she was arrested during an apparent break and enter in progress.

It happened on Gemstone Court in Spryfield around 9:45 p.m. last night.

During their investigation, police recovered a gun.

The woman is charged with break and enter, property damage, uttering threats and several firearms offences.
