RCMP are investigating the deaths of two men at a burned-out camp near Sheet Harbour.

Cpl. Scott Macrae said mounties were called after fire crews, responding to the blaze yesterday afternoon, discovered the bodies.

Macrae said the men, aged 59 and 22, were discovered inside a burned-out cottage following a fire that crews responded to around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday.

The deaths are being treated as suspicious.

Investigators were headed to the scene off Highway 374, Thursday morning.

“The matter is still under investigation by the fire department and the RCMP. We’ve brought in our General Investigation Section to further the investigation and hopefully I”ll have more details as they day goes on,” Macrae told News 95.7.

Macrae said the camp was completely destroyed in the fire.
