Police have laid charges in connection to a break and enter in Dartmouth in August where several items including guns were taken.
On Aug. 14 Halifax Regional Police responded to a break and enter call at a residence on Lorway Drive in Dartmouth.
Several items were taken, including four firearms, which were recovered by police four days later.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, a 24-year-old Dartmouth man was arrested on the evening of December 6 at the Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Burnside, where he is incarcerated for breaching court ordered conditions.
He was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court Monday to face a slew of charges including weapons trafficking, break and enter and possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace.
Last week, in connection with this break and enter case, police conducted two searches of residences in Dartmouth and seized a total of 25 firearms and a quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia. 23-year-old Jonathan Vincent McNeil and two 29-year-old women, all of Dartmouth, face charges in relation to these searches.
This investigation is continuing and police anticipate more charges.
