If you find yourself at Stanfield International, you might hear performances coming from the main terminal building.
The Sounds of the Season program was started 14 years ago and has been well received ever since.
Jennifer Delorey Lyon is the corporate communications coordinator with the airport and tells News 95.7 the program adds a little extra something for passengers during the holiday season.
“Maybe their stress level is a little bit higher, flying isn’t everyone’s thing so sometimes seeing someone may put them at ease,” she explains.
Performers include local schools and community groups and Delorey Lyon adds the younger children involved are having fun.
“Preforming in front of an audience isn’t for everyone so it’s great to see them enjoying it and it means a lot to their family members coming out to see it too,” she explains.
The program runs until Dec. 24.
