The downward trend in gasoline prices is expected to continue for another week.
News 95.7 is predicting that the price of a litre of gas will drop one to two cents a litre when the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board resets prices at midnight.
That would put regular self-serve in the $1.22/litre range.
Nova Scotia hasn’t seen an increase in prices since Nov. 16.
George Murphy with Consumers for Fair Gas Prices tells News 95.7 despite troubles in the Middle East the markets are flat.
“There’s always stuff happening in the Middle East. It’s usually a powder keg for oil prices…oil prices are actually showing some modest retreats and then they show these modest little increases,” explained Murphy. “Mostly hanging around $87 a barrel or $108 Brent (Intercontinental Exchange).”
The price of regular self-serve dropped overnight in New Brunswick. The maximum price decreased by 0.6 cents a litre to $124.2.
In Toronto, drivers are expected to see prices drop by about a half cent today, moving the unregulated price to $121.5.
