Halifax Regional Police say they have two people in custody in connection with the murder of Christina Cline one year ago this week.
Cline is the 27-year-old woman whose body was found on a remote trail in Shubie Park known as Vivian’s Way on Nov. 19, 2011.
Victoria Ann Weir of Sydney Mines, 26, and Dustin Brian Hales, 37, of Dartmouth will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today charged with first-degree murder. They were both arrested Saturday in Truro.
Cst. Pierre Bourdages says the co-accused and the victim knew each other.
“Mr. Hales is the victim’s ex husband and Miss Weir his new wife,” Bourdages told News 95.7.
Cline was the mother of three children, but it’s not clear if Hales had custody.
An RCMP underwater dive team was at Lake Banook Monday morning.
Cpl. Scott Macrae confirmed the dive team was there at the request of the HRP Major Crimes Unit looking for evidence in the Cline file.
