Fire has destroyed a home in Timberlea.

The single-family home on Parkdale Avenue, which runs off St. Margaret’s Bay Road near the Timberlea Village Parkway, was called in around 3:15pm Thursday.

Crews from multiple stations rolled up to find so much smoke and flame coming from the building that they had to take a defensive approach and knock down fire before going inside.

Firefighters say people were home at the time but everyone got out safely.

The house looks like a writeoff.
