Missed Saturday night’s Parade of Lights, or just want to see another parade?

The Light Up Bedford parade goes tonight!

The parade, which starts at 5:45 p.m., will travel from the parking lot of Bedford Place Mall and proceed south on the Bedford Highway to Hammonds Plains Road, concluding at the Sobeys parking lot.

As a result, the Bedford Highway and side streets will be closed starting at 5:30.

Police encourage anyone planning to attend the parade to consider using public transportation or carpooling to reduce traffic in the area.

People are also reminded that there will be no parking along the parade route and vehicles in violation will be ticketed and possibly towed.
