A cab driver has been charged after allegedly assaulting a passenger in Halifax early Saturday morning.
At about 1:15a.m., police were called to the 300 block of Langbrae Drive.
The victim and his girlfriend were in a taxi when he got in a dispute with the driver.
Police say the cabbie hit the victim in the head with a pipe-like object.
A 45-year-old cab driver faces charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
