Police are investigating a pair of overnight robberies in HRM.

The first incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Officers say a 24-year-old man was assaulted by two other men outside of the NSLC on Tacoma Dr in Dartmouth.

During the assault, the attackers took some jewelry from the victim.

The suspects have not been located.

Police say it was not a random act and the suspects were known to the victim.

The second robbery happened at 1a.m. Sunday morning when a man entered the Tim Horton’s at 1525 Bedford Highway.

He said to have placed his order and when the clerk opened the cash register, he pulled a knife and demanded the money.

He jumped over the counter, pushed the clerk out of the way and removed the cash from the register before taking off.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’9 in height, wearing sunglasses, a black coat with fur around the hood and gloves.

The clerk wasn’t injured.
