It’s been a deadly weekend on the roads in Nova Scotia, with four people being killed in three different crashes.
The most recent incident happened on Highway 2 in Fall River.
At 6 a.m. Sunday morning, a car left the road and crashed into a tree.
The driver was found dead.
A 17-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash has not been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
Just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, police responded to a crash on Shore Road West in Youngs Cove where they found a Chevrolet Silverado and a Volkswagen car involved in crash.
Two 72-year-old men from Parkers Cove who were in the Volkswagen died while the driver of the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation and the names of the deceased are being withheld at this time.
Earlier in the day there was a fatal crash on the inbound 102 that had the highway closed at Exit 4C for much of the morning.
Just before 8:30 a.m., officers responded to a single vehicle crash involving a 2005 Toyota Echo.
The driver and sole occupant, a 65-year-old man from Fall River, was found deceased at the scene.
Traffic was being rerouted at Exit 4C, but re-opened just before 11 a.m.
The cause of the crash is also still under investigation.
