A series of creepy incidents around a Fairview school has police looking for a man in his sixties.
The man has been spotted three times in just over a week.
Someone saw the guy on the property of Fairview Heights Elementary just over a week ago.
He returned two days ago.
“He approached a female student, touched her lightly on the head, and gave her a small amount of change,” said Halifax Constable Pierre Bourdages.
On Wednesday, he was lurking at the school again.
“The male was seen hiding behind the playground equipment, and again approached a young female student and asked her for her name and phone number,” said Bourdages.
Investigators only have a vague description of the creeper: slim, white, in his sixties, with thinning gray hair. In the latest incident, he was wearing a dark track jacket, faded jeans and a ball cap. They don’t think he’s using a car.
Police would like to speak with this individual and request the public’s assistance in reporting any sightings.
Police also encourage parents to reinforce with their children the importance of not talking to strangers. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call police at 490-5016 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
