The Nova Scotia government says work will begin Monday on repairing a crumbling dike that was breached by flood waters two weeks ago in the Truro area.
The announcement was made Friday – one day after the government said it wouldn’t do the job because the dike was on private property.
Several business owners in the area had warned they were worried about further flooding from the North River – particularly with more rain in the forecast today.
Staff with the Transportation Department will be working on the dike next week.
