The RCMP is hoping the public can help solve a hit-and-run.

Police received a call of an alleged hit a run in East Preston Thursday night at around 10:15 p.m.

A 23-year-old man was walking along Highway 7 in East Preston when a car traveling east struck him.

The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The vehicle is described as a silver hatchback and it lost a passenger side mirror as a result of the incident.
