A 23-year-old woman contacted Halifax police Friday evening to report a sexual assault.
She says shortly after 9 a.m. Friday morning, she was standing at the corner of Morris and Barrington streets waiting to cross when a man she didn’t know approached her, stood in front of her, and touched the inside of her leg, running his hand up her thigh.
He then took off, running south on Barrington Street.
The suspect was white, 28 to 30 years-old, about 5’7, medium build, dark hair with a scruffy beard, wearing a light coloured wind breaker over a dark hoodie.
Police are investigating.
