A trailer fire forced the closure of part of the 118 between exits 13 and 14 for about an hour Friday night.
At about 7:15 p.m. a travel trailer heading outbound towards Miller Lake was waved over by another driver.
The two people in the 1989 Sun vista hadn’t realized the front of their vehicle was on fire.
A race car on a trailer they were pulling was unhooked and saved.
No one was injured in the incident but the trailer was destroyed.
The road was closed in both directions because of fears a 100lb propane tank might explode.
